Welcome back to the Autumn Term 2019: Exciting times ahead!

Parents evening

We schedule two main Parent Consultation evenings per year (one in the Autumn term and one in the Spring term), as well as extending an option for parents to discuss their children's report with the class teacher in the Summer term. Dates for these meetings are publicised and shared via newsletters and the e-schools calendar service.
Meetings in the Autumn term consist of information on how children have settled into their new school year and 'target setting', when parents and carers can find out more about their children's attitude to learning and what they need to work on throughout the school year. Consultations in the Spring Term review previous targets and progress towards these. We encourage children to attend these meetings in order to share their understanding of progress and targets as this is an essential part of our work on the 6R's 'Learning to Learn' skills.
At both meetings you will be informed about your child's achievement in relation to the Age-Related Expectations for their year group. You can find out more about these on the Curriculum pages.
