We are extremely fortunate at St Kew School to be supported by such a committed band of parents and friends. It was because of the wide range of people who support the school - going beyond 'just' parents - that we came up with the name 'Helping Hands'.
Every parent/carer is automatically a member and we are always happy to see new faces at the regular meetings in school. You don't have to volunteer to be a committee member - just come along and offer whatever help you can - even if it's just new fund raising ideas.
Recent events have included a bag pack at the Co-op in Wadebridge, a night with Jonny Cowling, a Harvest auctions, Quiz nights and of course Bingo!
The children often play a full part in fundraising activities, whether it is planning games and stalls for the summer fair or making gifts to sell at the Christmas fair. They work together in apprentice-style challenges to design their wares, work out their costs, and then decide on what they need to charge.
The money raised by the PTA is spent on new equipment for the school, and also goes towards the costs of trips and extracurricular activities for the children. Please support us and support your children!
The next PTA meeting dates are advertised through the newsletter and also on the school diary. Please come along and show your suppport -you'd be most welcome!
