We are extremely fortunate at St Kew to be supported by such a committed group of parents and friends. It was because of the wide range of people who support the school - going beyond 'just' parents - that we came up with the name 'Helping Hands'.
Every parent and carer is automatically a member and we are always happy to see new faces at the regular meetings in school. You don't have to volunteer to be a committee member - just come along and offer whatever help you can - even if it's just new fund raising ideas.
Recent events have included a bag pack at the Co-op in Wadebridge, a night with Jonny Cowling, Quiz nights and of course we must not forget the Bingo!
The children often play a full part in fundraising activities, whether it is planning games and stalls for the summer fair or making gifts to sell at the Christmas fair. They work together in apprentice-style challenges to design their wares, work out the costs and then decide on what they need to charge.
The money raised by the PTA is spent on new equipment for the school and goes towards the costs of trips and extracurricular activities for the children. Please join us in order to support us and your children!
The next PTA meeting dates are advertised through the newsletter and also on the school diary. Please come along and show your support - you would be welcomed with open arms!
