R.E. is taught in all classes and follows the procedures and guidelines laid down in the Cornwall LA’s agreed syllabus. R.E. covers the main religions of the world, including Christianity.
We aim to enable children to understand the nature of religion and differing beliefs and practices. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from R.E. lessons and religious assemblies if they wish and we would ask you to speak to the Head before doing so.
Our daily collective worship is Christian based but will not always have a religious theme. We have a weekly virtue which is highlighted in the daily assemblies and follow up work is done in classrooms. The daily assembly is an important part of our school day. Visiting speakers regularly feature at our assemblies, throughout the year.
