The School’s Curriculum has high standards and is broad, rich and balanced. Great emphasis is placed on planning the curriculum so that there is continuity, progression, challenge and pace.
We follow the National Curriculum which consists of the Core subjects: Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Information and Communications Technology and Religious Education and the Foundation Subjects: History, Geography, Design Technology, Art, Music and PE. Although not compulsory we also include French and Personal, Social and Health Education in our curriculum.
Following the Government’s “Excellence and Enjoyment” recommendations we have moved towards a “cross-curricular” approach making links between subjects where possible. We believe this has made our curriculum more relevant to our children and has increased pupil motivation.
